Racing Turkey Working With Numbers 1 – 120

This packet contains number cards from 1 – 120 and 84 task cards. Use these in math stations, small groups or whole class activities. Vary the level of difficulty by the number cards and task cards chosen for use by students.

Skills on the task cards include:

• Even and odd numbers.
• Counting to 100 by ones and tens.
• Counting beginning with a number other than 1.
• Counting to 120.
• Place value.

Common Core State Standards Addressed:

• Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
• Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
  Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
• The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
• The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones).
• Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones.
• Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100’s.
